ok mods, close this if you want, but if you do a search (try it) its really difficult to come up with difinitive answers to my question (some threads say one thing, other threads say other things):

which benzodiazepines are insufflatable?

ive been told that NO benzos are water soluble, and therefore cant be sniffed, but ive also been told (by a reliable source whos never steered me wrong before) that kpins can be sniffed.

i tried sniffing kpins, and by golly it works. is that possible? (well obviously it is...but lots of people here deny it)

ive also read somewhere (i forget where) that MOST benzos cannot be insufflated, however, some can. my question, again, is which benzos can i sniff?

The diazepam didn't do shit. It's useless nasally. The lorazepam just sucks period. And the clonazepam works snorted..but it's still more effective orally, plus it dissolves super fast in your mouth.

I don't see why some people still insist that they want to snort benzos even when people like me rant for hours on how useless it is...

benzos are not water soluble but that does not mean that they can not be snorted. it just is not the most sufficient method of administration... when you snort it the drug can still affect you because it drips down into your stomach through your mucus membranes.

but really, you shouldn't snort benzos. just take em as directed - and if you are feeling particularly adventerous parachute em or crunch 'em up.

I know snorting benzo's is mostly just a waste of the time (drip -> stomach) and a waste of the nose, but...

I've got myself liquid clonazepam (Rivotril® 2.5 mg/ml droplets)... Would this be worth giving it a try? I don't know, but maybe it does work because it's in liquid form?

The preparation does not contain any ethanols... Beside clonazepam: propylene glycol, sodium saccharate and two substances which I don't know the English name for but are for the taste only, like peach taste.

^^^maybe, but they are likely meant for people who cannot swallow properly or have to be given drugs through a gastro tube. I used to work at a chronic care centre for people with neurological diseases and just about all of them had to be given meds through a tube.

nah nm just tried it, the taste is horrible and it isn't absorbed, felt the liquid draining through my throat right away. i dont like nasal anyway. sublingual :)

There has been much debate over insulfated alprazolam in the past, and I remember one thread in particular where Phreex preformed a test and by golly, it IS slightly more effective to snort it. I can tell you this from experience as well, it has a much faster onset, is different in the nature of the effects, and the duration is significantly shortened.

On an interesting note, has anyone seen niravam? Not sure how new it is, but they are orally disolving alprazolam pills in .25mg-2mg doses.

when I was younger I snorted a few roache 10mg valium... it didnt seem to kick in any faster than as if I would have just poped the pills... i did some re-search and found a definite anser, they dont dissolve... thats why you cant inject or snort the pills.

Any of those drugs in pure form, in a clear nose, can be snorted fine. The idea that drugs have to be water-soluble to be snorted is wrong. (Unless they need to be metabolized. V- Thanks for reminding me Jasoncrest)

I can think of three water-soluble benzos: Midazolam, Loprazolam, Clorazepate
->Clorazepate needs to be metabolized to nordazepam to be active, you have to eat it
->Midazolam works very well when snorted, very quick onset of effects. But all the Midazolam pills I got were big pills, full of binders that you don't want to snort
->I never tried to snort Loprazolam (it works so well when injected...)

Yeah. I never meant that I wanted to snort alprazolam - i meant that I wanted to try some someday. not that much though; benzos really aren't that good, unless you really really hate any form of anxiety.

Valium is the only benzo that gave me any kind of "high" - clonos make my mind dulled (good for anxiety), and bromazepam and lorazepam are horrible.

All in my experiene of course.

Oxzapam-(Serepax), i was gonna get given 10 yers ago, froman American PSY, b4 i was benzo phobic and went on Prozac, i think it comes in 15 and 30mg Caps? up to 4x daily?.

F&B is correct though, that in a proper solution (i.e. warm milk, etc...), rectal administration is definitely quite efficient. It you have a pill form that is designed for sublingual administration, by all means use it that way. We're not saying that it can't be done (insufflating non-water soluble benzos), it's just that it's not the most efficient method of administration. Sublingual and/or rectal administration would definitely be the way to go.

well i just got back from the hospital i had 2 needles of valium(10mg) and 6mg of clonazepam and now that im home im sniffing bromazepam and it dont burn and right away after about 1 minute i got a wicked high i dont care what anyone says lol

Although everyone says that benzos can't and shouldn't be blown, I believe the original question wasn't about alprazolam or lorazepam. What about kolonpin.....??

and yes, as much as some junkies get fixed on the needle, I have this strongly irritating unsatisfiable urge to blow something right about now. I know its bad for my nose, normally I'm one to preach about not causing nasal harm by snorting unnecessarily but I've been so good for so long and fuck it, I want to. :p

Anyone got an answer? (and no not the physical act of putting the powder up my nose I know it's physically possible but will I be pissing these away?)

You really aren't going to feel anything from snorting them.

I did this once a long time ago before I knew that there was no point and nothing happened. Anything I got, I believe, was from the drip.

id have to say temazepam is definatley the best benzo to snort its in capsule and the powder is already crushed up so thats what ill be snorting either that or k-pins works in my experince so damn high off of 3 sublingually k-pins and 2 snorted i have a very low tolerance cause there really hard to find. but i love that (: (they were 1mg pills green round and small) * i don't want anyone to try this i ended up on my parents bed on the cruise with my head and knees on the bed and ass in the air i was sooo highh lmao don't try it though i blacked out big time.

^ and what dosage were the k-pins that you took 5 of and say you have a small tolerance? .5mg? cuz if they were 1 or 2mg each and you took 5-10mg than an un-experienced user might see this and think that's a safe dose to start on (which it's not) since you say you have a small tolerance.. just figured we should clear that up. Don't you think? we don't want anyone to OD and blackout on their first experience with k-pins do we?

I agree. I'm always down for insufflation, but Lorazepam is not one of the shining stars. I've enjoyed xanax. But Dear God don't ever snort Tranxene (clorazepate). The burn is utterly horrendous. It must be near the top of the list. Actually....it's a prodrug and needs to be metabolized anyway! HA! Believe it or not I've used it a few times for the placebo effect when I was withdrawing from Ambien. It makes the mild ambien burn feel like a tickle.

Amazingly, I've never considered insufflating these. I have legitimately prescribed lorazepam, and the tabs pretty much much melt right under my tongue. As for the others, if I chew them and make sure the substance gets all into the mucous membranes in my mouth after chewing, they kick in very quickly.

Personally I've only tried snorting Alprazolam and it works but its much different than orally taken. The onset is much faster and stronger IMO but it doesn't last as long. Popping is better overall.

The only benzo I think you get an increased BA for snorted versus oral, would probably be midazolam and triazolam.

I would rather use triazolam sublingually, and micron filter then IV the midazolam. =D

Midazolam orally is also very pleasurable and wonderful BTW - and longer lasting too.

So, in short, I would snort no benzos. Doxylamine succinate, an antihistamine, has a better gain when taken insuffulated but I don't even feel like snorting it, it's kind of nasty to do IMO, but works like a charm to put yourself into a state of sleep if you need to become not fully conscious for whatever reason.

People that snort benzos just like the ritual of chopping lines. Ill snort anything if the reason behind it makes sense but benzos act just as fast if u let them disolve under your tongue. The drip tastes like shit going down the back of your throat. But i find that most benzos have a sugary taste when chewed.
