Using RocketDock, Launchy, Trillian Astra, Google Chrome (w/ Privoxy), and iTunes, among other software.

On a serious note though, you should consider styles. They make the user experience much more aesthetic. And take it from me, they don't require a whole lot of extra processing power or memory.
