Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) withdrawals
I've been taking 2-3 10mg cyclobenzaprine pills past few days and i'm wondering if there are any withdrawal problems from long-term use. I'm really not in the mood to w/d like i did from Xanax and want to be sure i'm not getting in over my head again.
Any advice is appreciated guys!

probably be a rebound effect with your muscle pain but i doubt it would be like benzo w/d. this is not a professional opinion tho, which renders it useless. lol

Flexiril is very similar to tricyclic antidepressants and first generation (H1 antagonist) anhistamines like diphenhydramine (however less anticholinergic/antimuscirinic). In my experience the withdrawals are pretty similar in severity and duration to the tricyclics... nothing on par with benzos or most other drugs discussed in Other Drugs, especially at 20-30mg/day.

I have been prescribed the same dose for up to 30 days at a time due to back problems and never had any withdrawal issues. Its not like it makes you feel good or anything so I dont think you could even have psycholgical addction at normally prescribed doses.

I agree, a few days isn't usually considered "long term"

No i said i've been taking it for a few days now and don't want to risk taking it long enough for w/d's to happen (if they happen). My question was purely pre-cautious.
But thanks to your responses. How bad are the tricyclic antidepressant w/d's exactly? I've never been on anti-depressants.
