How do you prepare MYLAN brand Fentanyl patches for iv?

I've got 50 mcg/hr patches from mylan. These do not have a gel, rather a hard layer of adhesive and drug. Are these POS's abuse proof?? Got a patch soaking in grain alcohol now. Doesnt seem like the stuff is gonna dissolve. What's up??

I've been soaking the patch for an hour. Looks looks like it is insoluable in alcohol. I scraped a tiny bit off and put on tin foil and smoked:nada

I scraped some more off (2 tiny matchheads) and chewed like gum...feel a little something coming on.. but looks like they did a pretty good job in making these mylan abuse proof--sheesh!
