I have been clean for 5 and a half weeks now, but used methamphetamines pretty heavily when I was over in New Zealand for about a year. The psychological cravings are getting a lot less and I rarely find myself consciously thinking about P, which, I suppose is a good thing.
But there is something that is disturbing me. For about 2 weeks now I have been having recurring meth-centered dreams... Seriously, every major dream plot that I can recall is about meth. Other ordinary things happen in the dream, but there is an underlying necessity and tweak-like (post-peak euphoria) tone to the dreams.
For example last night I had a dream that I had a point of P in a bag and I spilled it all over a fluffy carpet. The rest of the dream consisted of me picking little shards of crystal out of the fuzzy carpet, compulsively transferring the shards onto a glass tray, and trying to load them into a pipe but never actually smoking it...
It is the first time one drug has persistently recurred in my dreams, despite about 13 years of hard (benzo/opiate/psych/stim/MJ) drug use and I don't know if it is something unique to methamphetamines or maybe if I am still just experiencing subconscious withdrawals. Regardless, it seems to be the only time meth is on my mind, when my un/subconscious are given free reign.
I know that I am very far from sane but I just wanted to know if this happens to anyone else?

^ YES! I used to IV meth for quite some time and after I stopped I was constantly getting these dreams. The worst thing was that in my dream I was injecting it again and then for the next few days all I could think about what the feeling you get after booting it . It sucks.
All I can say is that I hardly get these dreams any more but they do still happen occasionally. I guess these dreams are a manifestation of your subconscious mind being preoccupied with meth.
I know it probably does not help you know but they will start to decrease as you get more used to life without meth.
2much... I know its like I don't find myself fiending or craving for it during my normal day EXCEPT for right when i wake up... RAHHHH

this happens too me also, iv been 1.5 years without meth, but i actually enjoy the dream because it feels like i got a fix without actually doing any damage too my brain, so i enjoy them. for the first 6 months i would sit in my bed thinking about meth before i slept and i noticed when ever i think about it before i sleep i dream about it, when i wanted too avoid this what i did was watched porn before i went too bed and i dream about hot naked ladies now
A lot of my dreams involve meth. But I remember the majority of my dreams. The way it manifests depends on how I'm feeling about the drug at the time; if I'm quitting, it's always a guilty high, otherwise it's just there. I always get high in my dreams too; luckily.

I have these dreams about cigarettes.
I used to do speed alot. I have dreams about drugs frequently. Sometimes about meth. I had an almost identical dream where I was picking shards out of a carpet. What I hate is when I wake up (after an intense drug dream) only to find I have no drugs.
As far as your question is concerned it is certainly possible. Then again I have dreamt of drugs that I haven't even done before.
But yeah I think it is due to a underlying craving

When I'm comin down off meth I have outer body dreams where I see myself sleepin and I'm paralyzed screamin with no sound tryin to wake up it's freaky found out one of my friends experiencing same shit!!
Yeah, they are fucking horrible. I once had a dream where all the sudden I was holding a pipe, held up the lighter, took a fat rip, exhaled, saw the smoke, and felt EXACTLY IDENTICAL to being high for about 5 seconds. I then woke up with a massive headache for like 5 minutes... I assume it was because my brain released dopamine while I was asleep and the headache was just a "coming down" affect. The sad thing was I was 14 days sober and broke that streak that day. I looked into these "meth dreams" and found out they're actually common and they don't seem to go away from anyone, even after years. Really sucks
Sorry if my posts don't help but this has never happened to me. I waltzed (not the actual dance) in and out of speed for years. i knew alot of people i wish i didn't know and most of them are not in good shape to say the least. the dreams seem to be the last thing I would worry about.
ugghh yeah.... drug dreams are my favourite! not. it's just the subconscious manifesting its desires during sleep.......unfortunately.
